Vim is a celebration of the importance and joy of reading.
In the middle of a reading crisis, Boon offers up this diary of sorts as a living record of the community of teachers, parents, students, artists, advocates, teacher trainers, tutors, and others who strive every day to overcome, or help others overcome, the barriers imposed by poor reading instruction.
Enjoy stories told by teachers, parents, advocates, and dyslexics themselves. Contributors’ stories generally are not edited for length, because every word matters. What you see here is just a small sampling of what makes up this first issue of Vim.
Boon helps teachers gain training in the science of reading and in the best, proven instruction methods based on that science. In so doing, we help all learners become strong readers.
