Sandon Nixon

Sandon Nixon worked in the nonprofit sector for 20+ years. As National Director for the Jefferson Awards for Public Service and The President’s Student Service Awards, a nationwide public service and volunteer recognition program, Sandon worked in 12 western states covering 47 major media markets with responsibility for developing diverse partnerships including regional media sources (newspaper, television, radio, and web), corporations, nonprofits, schools, universities, and local governments. Sandon also spent nine years as Regional Advisor Consultant with Hartford Funds building partnerships in Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada. For the past 27 years, Sandon has worked as a real estate consultant focused on residential luxury, relocation, and life-stage transition. In his free time, Sandon is developing Music Remembers, a start up focused on helping individuals and families living with Alzheimer’s improve quality of life through music, family nostalgia, and technology; pioneering the use of music/sound-powered wellness for caregiver/care receiver health support & stress reduction. Sandon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resource Management from The Catholic University of America. Previous nonprofit board leadership positions include the following: The Next Generation Board of the Delaware Community Foundation, Scottsdale Sunrise Rotary Club, The Phoenix Conservatory of Music, and the Global Investment Foundation for Tomorrow, Inc. (GIFT). Sandon lives in Phoenix, AZ.
