SOR Teacher Training Scholarships

Purpose

Boon’s SOR (Science of Reading) Teacher Training Scholarships reduce – and even eliminate – the tuition cost for teacher training in structured language, enabling teachers to effectively teach students how to read.

Our scholarships range from $50 to $5,000. Scholarship funding drives Boon’s vital effort to end the nation’s reading crisis by providing training in structured language instruction methods backed up by the science of reading. Our trainers are best-in-class, independent organizations that offer both remote and in-person instruction through nationwide networks.

Each trained teacher works with between 600 and 2,000 students during their career, multiplying the impact of this program.

Application Process

If you are seeking a scholarship, please fill out the short, preliminary interest form.  Scholarship award decisions are made by the leadership at the national headquarters of each training organization, with the advice and consent of Boon. Refer to the list of Training Partners to learn more about their coursework.
