Gillian Smith enjoys helping purpose-driven brands and organizations tell their stories and drive results. She has over 20 years of marketing, sales, and communications experience with companies and organizations of all shapes and sizes, including big name brands like Burger King, Coca-Cola, LEGOLAND, and Teach For America and City Year (where she served as the first Chief Marketing Officer for both organizations).
Her numerous accolades include being named an “Online All-Star” by MediaPost, a “Woman to Watch” by Advertising Age, and her marketing campaigns have won awards including Cannes Golden Lions, Effies, Association of National Advertisers Best Multicultural Advertising, Davey, Forrester Groundswell, Rosoff Award for Diversity, Best Viral Advertising (Wall Street Journal), The One Show, Golden Marble Awards for best children’s advertising, and even Best Campaign of the Century according to Advertising Age and The New York Times.
Gillian was a Fulbright Scholar to Germany. She is married with two teenage boys, loves to travel, speaks fluent German and enjoys triathlons, although says she is very, very slow.
